Norfolkline goes green with 92% recyclable trailers
Norfolkine has recently taken delivery of new refrigerated trailers from Gray & Adams (Ireland) Ltd., commissioned for use in Norfolkline’s Larkhall operation, that are 92% recyclable.
As part of an ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impact of their operations, Norfolkline has opted for Gray & Adams trailers primarily because of their end of life recyclability factor.
Gray & Adams has been striving for many years to develop sustainable and clean manufacturing techniques, but which still offer customers a cost effective and high quality product.
Gray & Adams customers can be assured of a product that keeps the amount of materials being sent to landfill at the end of the vehicle’s life to a minimum.
Mervyn McIntyre, Equipment Manager for Norfolkline Logistics said,
“Norfolkline is committed to reducing it’s carbon footprint. The environment is everyone’s responsibility and we need to consider how everything we do effects it. Environmental awareness and policy is a key deciding factor in supplier selection for Norfolkline”.
Norfolkline operates logistics services from locations across Europe, providing ambient and refrigerated transportation of goods by road, rail, and sea. Gray and Adams has been a trusted supplier of temperature-controlled road transport equipment and back-up services to the Norfolkline group for many years.
