It is vitally important that we teach the young from an early age to protect the environment and renewable energy is definitely the way of the future.”
To support the visits the education programme has a dedicated website http://www.wiseuptorenewables.com/ for students, teachers and parents alike. Both sides of the programme pay close attention to the Northern Ireland curriculum requirements utilising a number of participative methods including presentations, word games, puzzles, internet games and problem solving.
Following the ethos of Education for Sustainable Development the programme follows a process of learning how to make decisions that consider the long tem future of the ecology, economy and equity for all communities.
Dr. Andy McCrea, Director, Action Renewables said;
“We are delighted to have this partnership with Norfolkline for our education programme.
