The funniest night in the Northern Irish travel and tourism calendar took place on Wednesday 2nd April 2008, at the Black Box in Belfast, with Norfolkline picking up one of the top awards for its "Freedom at the wheel campaign".

The night was compered by local TV celeb Julian Simmons, comedy provided by Irish comic Eric Lawlor and guests danced the night away into the wee small hours with a live band at the Norfolkline sponsored event.

Skål is a worldwide organisation that encourages advancement and evolution through affiliation with other international industry organisations such as the World Tourism Organisation and it supports charitable causes and promotes the ethos of ‘Doing Business Among Friends’.

At the awards Norfolkline picked up the coveted Best Industry Advert Award – for its "Freedom at the wheel" campaign.

Featuring Norfolkline's Don Clarke (Business Development Manager), as the face of the campaign, the campaign centred around a 40 x 10 foot billboard, complete with a motorised nodding head, poistioned at one of the busiest road junctions in Belfast.

The billboard has been viewed by thousands of people over the recent coming months, generating lots of business for Norfolkline whilst gaining Don celebrity status!
