Visiting Dover & Kent

Dover is exceedingly well placed in England.

In addition to being just a couple of hours from London, Dover provides an excellent springboard to explore the Kent countryside.

Kent is rightly called ‘The Garden of England’, with its picturesque villages, quaint Oast Houses and traditional agriculture cultivating Hops.

The historic city of Canterbury, with its ancient cathedral, is just 30 minutes from Dover, providing for an excellent day out, whilst Dover itself is home to a magnificent castle, traditional architecture and the famous White Cliffs. 

Dover is also the busiest ferry port in the world, making it the gateway to Britain from the continent.
