Check-list of Documents before Travelling:

Before you travel to France make sure you have the following:
  1. Carry your documents:
Check your passport will be valid for at least six weeks after your return. It’s always good to carry a copy of key documents.
Children who are under 16 need to carry a passport and must be travelling with an adult. If a parent or legal guardian isn’t present, the child should have a letter of authorisation from relevant parties. Children over 16 years of age can travel on their own but require authorisation from a legal guardian or parent to leave the UK.

Make sure you have taken out proper travel insurance. If you’ve taken out a plan ensure it covers you for every eventuality. If visiting Europe obtain a European Health Insurance coverage Card (EHIC). They’re free.
  3. Documents for the Vehicle:
If you’re taking your car you’ll require your insurance documents, driving permit, and green card. You should also carry a breathalyser kit, security triangle and first aid kit. Plus you’ll need to bring at least two fluorescent vests which have to be kept with the car. If you forgot these items, don't worry you can purchase them onboard our ferry.
